BIO: Robert Greene

The founder and president of Project: We Care, Robert W. Greene, served in the U.S. Army from 1969 thru September of 1971. During which time, he was assigned a permanent duty station at, Fort Detrick, Maryland, where he engaged in medical research as part of U.S.A.M.R.I.D. (United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infection Diseases). After his honorable discharge in 1971, he returned to college to complete his undergraduate work. In 1973 he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. In, 2008, Robert retired from his territory management position with Fabricut, Inc.

Robert has been married for over 30 years. He and his wife raised two daughters and are enjoying a very active life, which includes spending as much time as possible with their two grandchildren. Being a veteran, Robert has expressed a kinship with his fellow veterans. His commitment to this program stems from his recent awareness of the seriousness of the homeless problem in Broward County, Florida. He has subsequently met with many agencies and participated in county activities to process homeless veterans. The veteran’s homeless issue is further exacerbated by the onslaught of foreclosures in south Florida, where thousands of people, on a monthly basis, are being forced from their homes.
