BOARD MEMBERS

Colonel Robert C. Gaylord
USAF Retired

 

Colonel Robert C. Gaylord is a former U-2 reconnaissance pilot, decorated combat veteran, international airline captain and CEO of a global risk management firm. He served as the senior Mideast Advisor to the Secretary of the Air Force and was Latin America Division Chief and Senior Counter Terrorism and Policy Advisor to the Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff. He served as military advisor to the President and Secretary of Defense following the events of 9/11 and led the effort to establish the 58 nation international coalition against terror. Colonel Gaylord has extensive board experience in the non-profit arena. He graduated from the USAF Academy in 1979 and has an MBA from Gonzaga University.

 

Bruce Lenes, MD

My name is Bruce Lenes, MD and I have been the Medical Director and part of the senior management team of the large,($94 million gross revenue)non-profit Regional Blood Center here in South Florida for the last 30 years.  The blood center provides all of the transfusion related needs in over 150 health care facilities from Key West to North Palm Beach County. I teach at all four local medical schools and have published over 40 scientific articles in national scientific publications.
 

I am married, have 3 daughters, one son in law, and a granddaughter.  I have known Bob for about 5 years after meeting on a European cruise through mutual friends.  I look forward to working with him on this project.

David Streem, MD

 

David Streem, MD, is on Staff in the Department of Psychiatry and Psychology at Cleveland Clinic.  He holds an academic appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University.

 

John S. Bush, C.P.A., P.A.

 

Mr. Bush established the firm 1984. Mr. Bush's experience includes: financial accounting, general accounting/write-up services, litigation support, preparation and issuance of financial statements, preparation of budgets, and preparing financial statements, preparing federal and state tax returns for commercial corporations including cooperatives and condominiums.

 

In addition, Mr. Bush has extensive experience in representing various entities before federal (IRS) and state taxing authorities, tax planning involving mergers, acquisitions, liquidations, buy-sale agreements, business valuations, compensation package and fringe benefits.

 

Mr. Bush's experience also includes business planning and consulting services, medical and other professionals, accounting systems evaluation and implementation, financing; obtaining and structuring via financial institutions.

 

Joseph E. Altschul

 

Joseph E. Altschul has over 18 years of legal experience in South Florida.  He has tried jury trial cases to verdict in Miami-Dade County, Broward County and Palm Beach County, as well as in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.  He has also successfully argued appeals before the Florida Supreme, the United States Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeal, and Florida’s Third District Court of Appeal and Fourth District Court of Appeal.

 

Joseph also proudly served in the United States Army Reserves for 10 years, where he was a captain in the infantry. He completed basic training at Ft. Dix, NJ, and subsequently completed Airborne school and the Infantry Officer’s Basic Course at Fort Benning, Georgia.
